Q: I have an old wood fence with a broken post, can you replace it?
A: In most cases we try to avoid taking wood fences apart to replace a broken post. The best practice is to install a new post next to the broken to avoid the "fence domino effect" that happens when you take a wood fence apart.
Q: What's the fence domino effect.
A: With older wood fences everything is being held together by time. The fence has been together so long that is just stays that way. When you take a support loose from a post it changes the weight and position of the rails which can lead to pickets falling off or rails snapping.
Q: A bear knocked out my vinyl panel, can it be fixed?
A: In most cases, yes it can. We can come out and take the panel apart and as long as you have all the parts we can put it back together good as new. If the bear damaged some of the rail or pickets we can usually replace those with new parts.
Q: Can you replace a bent picket in my aluminum fence?
A: In most cases, no, we have to replace the whole panel. But, aluminum fence pickets are very soft and in some cases the picket can be bent back to nearly straight with a little effort.
Q: Do you repair fences after storm damage?
A: Yes. After a storm comes through I try to free up a crew for a few days to handle repair calls as quickly as possible.
